Darling Diva Polish Upcoming Valentines Day Collection Swatches & Review

Wooooo this is my 100th blog post! These few months of blogging have been amazing and I can't wait to see what the future holds for me! And just a heads up, these photos have been taken with my new camera, so tell me what you think of the new quality.

Today I have 2 polishes from the upcoming Darling Diva Polish Valentines Day collection that will be released on January 1st, 2013 to show you guys. Before I get into details about the polish itself, I want to talk about the new labels. If you check some of my older DDP reviews, you'll notice that the old labels were made out of paper and had the brand name & name of the polish written on it. The new labels are written on a clear label so that the contents of the polish can be seen through it, and the logo is in a pretty new font with a swirly design around it. The names of the polishes are now on the bottom of the bottle along with the size of the polish.

The first polish I have to show you is called BJ. BJ was named after Carrie's soon to be sister in-law, but if you have a mind like mine you might have been thinking it was named after something else hahaha. BJ is a hot pink soft holographic polish with tiny silver holographic hex glitters. In the bottle and on the nail when it is out of the light, BJ looks like a plain old pink polish with silver shimmer and a bit of silver glitter. But when it is in light, boy does it look like a whole different polish! Below is two coats of BJ on its own.

This polish really surprised me. I think it's because I didn't have any pink holo quite like this that looked so bright and sparkly. It's very hard to see the glitter within it behind all the holo, but when you can see it, it is a beautiful addition to the polish. It applied very easily and is smooth even without a top coat.

Next up is Ménage à Trois. In Canada one of our official languages is French but even if you don't speak french, I'm pretty sure you know what the name of the polish translates to. Ménage à Trois consists of red hex glitter, multiple sizes of purple/ fuchsia holographic hexagonal glitters, and purple shimmer in a pink jelly base. Below I used three coats of this polish on its own, however it gave full coverage in two coats.

This polish is another winner for me. If applied properly this polish has a very smooth finish, but I used a topcoat because I dented them by accident lol. This polish can be layered over various shades of pinks, reds, purples, or even black for different looks which I think is pretty darn cool!

Darling Diva Polishes costs between $8-$12 and can be purchased from her etsy shop found here. Don't forget to check out her Facebook fanpage found here also for sneak peeks, updates, and deals!

Peace & Love,
