Pahlish - April Showers Duo Swatches & Review

Today I have the April Showers duo from Pahlish to share with you. This duo is the first of monthly limited edition sets that will only be available during their corresponding months. The two polishes in this duo are called Through Still And Storm and Ocean Gone Wrong.

First up is Through Still And Storm which consists of blue and charcoal microflakes, and an electric blue shimmer in a deep slate blue base. Swatches below are two coats of Through Still And Storm worn alone.
 

Next up is Ocean Gone Wrong which consists of various shades of blue and gunmetal glitters in a clear base. Swatches below are one coat of Ocean Gone Wrong layered over two coats of Through Still And Storm.

 I was kind of curious as to what this duo would look like matted, so I gave it a try. I think the glitters and microglitters really stand out more when matted!

I absolutely love this duo! This duo was rightfully named because looking at these two polishes definitely reminds me of rain. Through Still And Storm reminds me of the storm clouds that you see right before it starts pouring rain, whereas Ocean Gone Wrong reminds me everything from a calm wave to a hurricane all wrapped up in this small bottle. The application was great, no streaking what so ever and no need to fish for any glitters.  

The April Showers duo will be released tomorrow April 12th at 7 pm central time, so get your wallets ready because this set is the first in a series of monthly inspired Pahlishes that will only be available during their

Water Marble Wednesday - Color Club Holographic Stripes

Hey guys! Just wanted to show you this quick water marble I threw together using 2 colors from the Color Club 2013 Halo Hues collection. The 2 colors I used was Eternal Beauty and Miss Bliss. The colors I used kinda reminded me of the Cheshire Cat (totally accidental) but I still think it turned out pretty cute. The last 2 photos are so you can get a better look at the design itself. I'm hoping to get the full reviews of the entire Halo Hues collection posted tomorrow, so stay tuned for that!

Darling Diva Polish - G-Spot, Zen Pool, and Call The Doctor Swatches & Review

Part 2 of Darling Diva Polish day includes 3 new beautiful polishes from Darling Diva Polish. Let's get to it!

First up is G-Spot (Get your minds out the gutter people! It's named after one of her friends!) which consists of red square glitters, red hexagonal glitters of different sizes, and red holographic hexagonal glitters in a beautiful purple base. Swatches below are 2 coats worn alone topped with a coat of Gelous.

Next up is Zen Pool which consists of two sizes of hot pink circle glitters, light blue circle glitters, light blue holographic hexagonal glitters, white circle glitters, large pale blue hexagonal glitters, and tiny teal holographic glitters along with a hint of shimmer in a teal-blue crelly base. Swatches below are 3 coats worn alone topped with a coat of Gelous.

Lastly is Call The Doctor which consists of large hot pink holographic circle glitters, medium size and small sized hot pink circle glitters, light pink medium sized circle glitters, white circle glitters, black circle glitters of 2 sizes, and silver holographic microglitters in a pale pink jelly base. Swatches below show one coat of Call The Doctor layered over 2 coats of Mango by Klean Color, then one coat layered over 2 coats of To-Teally Chic by Finger Paints, along with some nail wheel swatches with other possibilities I was considering.

There is something I love about each and every one of these polishes. The purple base in G-Spot  is so beautiful & I don't have a polish this color in my entire collection! The shimmer in Zen Pool gives it a nice kick, & I love how the pink pops! But if you are going to wear this color, you NEED a good base coat (unless you like smurf nails!). Call The Doctor is the perfect name for this polish, because I nearly passed out when I saw it! The layering possibilities are endless & a circle glitter fan's dream come true! The application for these polishes were good, but the large hexagonal glitters in Zen Pool did drag a teeny bit. There was no need to fish for any glitters and the dry time was fairly quick.

Darling Diva Polish - Spring Polishes Swatches & Review

Good afternoon beautiful people! I have declared today Darling Diva Polish day and will be making 2 new posts featuring 8 of her newer polishes & will also be showing some of my older posts & bottle shots of her polishes on my Facebook fanpage. The first post of today is 5 beautiful spring inspired colors, which include 2 reformulated polishes that she has brought back. Let's get started!

First up is Bethany which is one of the reformulated polishes. This version consists of purple square glitters, purple hexagonal glitters of different shades and sizes, holographic hexagonal glitters, and tiny pink hexagonal glitters in a yellow jelly base. Below is 2 coats worn alone topped with a coat Gelous.

Next up is Destiny which is the second reformulated polish. It consists of light blue circle glitters, blue hexagonal glitters of different shades and sizes, tiny and large silver hexagonal glitters, and gold holographic hexagonal glitters in a light blue jelly base. Below is 3 coats worn alone topped with a coat of Gelous.

Next up is Screaming Butterflies which consists of matte and holographic green hexagonal glitters, fine green holographic glitters, and pastel and holographic butterflies in a clear base. This polish is meant for layering. Below is one coat of Screaming Butterflies layered over Mint Sorbet by Sally Hansen.

Next is Radioactive which consists of silver holographic hexagonal glitters of different sizes, along with hot pink butterfly shaped glitters in a light pink jelly base. Below is 3 coats of Radioactive worn alone topped with a coat of Gelous.

Lastly is Serendipity which consists of tiny green hexagonal and square glitters, pink hexagonal glitters, lilac hexagonal glitters of different sizes, and iridescent glitters in a white crelly base. The first 3 photos below show this polish worn alone in 3 thin coats, and the rest of the photos show one coat of this polish being worn over 2 coats of White On The Spot by Milani.

I love the variety of colors offered in this spring collection. Most spring polishes are usually pastel purples, greens, yellows, and blues, but these polishes are a complete 180° and are super bright and sparkly. The application on all of these polishes were beautiful as always, but I would still recommend waiting a minute or 2 between coats to avoid glitters dragging. The polishes that I applied 3 coats of could be opaque in only 2, but it's just my personal preference. My favorite of the bunch would have to be Bethany, there's just something so beautiful about it that steals my heart! My other favorite would have to be Radioactive, her jelly based polishes are just flawless and the glitter balances this polish very well!

Darling Diva Polish - Multichrome Holographic Topcoats Swatches & Review

Today I will be showing you 3 new multichrome holographic topcoats by Darling Diva Polish that is sure to make you drool! Let me just say in advance that this post is VERY picture heavy (especially for only 3 polishes), but you'll be glad you saw all the angles of these beauties! I will go into more detail about each polish after I show you all of the descriptions and swatches of them since the formulation is the same quality.

First up is Cray Cray which consists of a pinkish-blue to purple color shifting pigment, along with 5 types of holographic mediums in a clear base. The swatches below are one coat of Cray Cray layered over one coat of Nevermore by Cult Nails.

Next up is Polish Junkie (which I think is named after me :p, & if it isn't I've convinced myself it is and that is final!) which consists of a green to blue color shifting pigment, along with 5 holographic mediums in a clear base. The swatches below are one coat of Polish Junkie layered over one coat of Nevermore by Cult Nails.

Lastly is Seduction which consists of a pink to gold to light green color shifting pigment, along with 5 types of holographic mediums in a clear base. The swatches below are one coat of Seduction layered over one coat of Nevermore by Cult Nails.

I absolutely ADORE these polishes and cannot wait to try them over colors! They are beautiful in all types of lighting situations, and although in lots of light someone may think they are the same polish, they are WAY different. The easiest way for me to tell these polishes apart was by looking at where the light was reflecting on the nail. Rather than being a white or even light yellow reflection (depending on your lighting), the reflection is the color of the color shifting pigment. Or an even easier way to tell the difference; move away from the light (duhhh :p)! When in darker lighting situations, the holo within these polishes is no longer visible whereas the color shifting pigment really stands out. The formula for these topcoats were beautiful as always, very easy to apply & dried fairly quickly. I love all 3 of these, but if I had to pick a favorite it would be Seduction because I have never seen this kind of color shift before & it had me mesmerized!
