Born Pretty Store - 12pc Blue Water Decals Review

Today I have a beautiful set of water decals from the Born Pretty Store to show you.

This set comes with 12 full nail decals and a tiny nail file to assist with the application. I chose these decals because they reminded me of a double stamping manicure, and I loved the color combination.

So, I followed the basic procedures for applying water decals & a few minutes later, this is what my nails looked like! I know you're supposed to apply topcoat to help it last longer, but I just sealed the ends by lightly brushing over it with acetone. I don't recommend you doing this if you don't have a light hand, or you might accidentally take off a piece... Like I did.

I don't know why, but these decals make me feel so fancy (LOL)! I have a few left, and would love to try these out on longer nails to see how the full design looks in some sort of a mix and match mani.

The 12pc Blue Water Decals currently cost $1.99 with free shipping, but Daisy has provided me with a coupon for you guys to make the deal even sweeter! If you use the code "SKL91" during checkout you will receive an additional 10% off your purchase from the Born Pretty Store for all of your nail art needs.

Born Pretty Store - Natural White Half Nail Tips & Nail Cutter Review

Today I have 2 products that go hand in hand (or nail and nail) from the Born Pretty Store that I would like to show you guys!

Now as you know I'm a natural nail kinda gal, but right before prom I had a horrible break and really wanted some long nails for the big day! So what's the solution? Nail enhancements of course! I RARELY use nail enhancements (I've probably only used them 3 to 4 times in my life), but I thought it would be worth it for prom.

I first started out by finding out which size from 1 to 10 would be a fit for each finger. After I found each size, I glued the tips on using glue I purchased from my local Sally Beauty Supply.

Now, there was no way I was going out looking like LaRhonda (Kudos if you get the Family Guy reference), so I used the nail cutters to make them a length I found appropriate.

After that I used my personal gel kit and added the finishing touches & voila!

I kept my enhancements on for about 2 weeks, and the nails on there own were pretty strong. I like how they are numbered on the very end of the tips in case you mix it up while doing your nails. However, one thing I did not like is how it stood out on against the natural nail, but that may just be my own fault. I personally wish the bottoms were curved to give a more natural look, but that doesn't really concern anyone who polishes over it anyways.

As for the clippers, they cut the nail tips extremely well, but you have to be really careful to make sure that it is lined up straight and not on a weird angle when cutting.

The Natural White Half Nail Tips currently cost $5.29 & the Nail Cutter costs $3.76 with free shipping, but Daisy has provided me with a coupon for you guys to make the deal even sweeter! If you use the code "SKL91" during checkout you will receive an additional 10% off your purchase from the Born Pretty Store for all of your nail art needs.

Born Pretty Store - Glow in the Dark Nail Stickers Review

Today on the blog, I will be showing you some awesome glow in the dark nail stickers from the Born Pretty Store.

I have four different patterns of nail stickers, and they are all from the same brand Juyou. Because they are all from the same brand & are all the same quality, I'll be doing one review just to avoid sounding repetitive. I'd also like to keep some of these for later on in the year, as they're out of season (just imagine me walking around with Christmas nails in the middle of spring ahaha).

The patterns I picked out (in order displayed below) are YB-Q101, YB-Q099, YB-Q100, & #2.

So the pattern I decided to try on was the galaxy looking design (YB-Q101). There are enough sticker sizes to fit each of my nails, and still have leftovers if I want to do an accent nail or mix and match manicure in the future. I was surprised when I first applied these nail stickers because they were more sheer than I expected, but not so sheer that you can see your nail line. These stickers adhered very easily & lasted me about a week, and the glow is amazing (so much fun for the nights you can't sleep :p).

These Glow in the Dark Nail Stickers currently cost $2.99 with free shipping, but Daisy has provided me with a coupon for you guys to make the deal even sweeter! If you use the code "SKL91" during checkout you will receive an additional 10% off your purchase from the Born Pretty Store for all of your nail art needs.

NOTD - Planet Polish Junkie

Hello everyone! Today I just wanted to quickly show you my current "out of this world" manicure. I achieved this look by using the following products:
* Sweet Colors Eco-friendly Nail Polish - S156
*Color Club - Miss Bliss
*Color Club - Angel Kiss
*Color Club - Kismet
*Color Club - Harp On It
*Cheeky Summer Set - Plate #47

I know it's kind of hard to tell the different holographic polishes apart in this manicure through photographs, but it really is noticeable in "real life". Hope you guys enjoyed this quick little post! I often do manicures that never make it onto the blog, but if you guys like these short little NOTD posts I'll be glad to share them. Let me know what you think!

Born Pretty Store - Sweet Color Eco-friendly Candy Nail Polish Swatches & Review

Today on the blog I have a quick little review for a polish from the Born Pretty Store!

I selected the Sweet Color eco-friendly candy nail polish in the color S156 which is a beautiful forest green cream polish. This polish is almost like a jelly when applying, so my swatches are 3 coats to achieve full coverage.

I don't know what about this polish is exactly "eco-friendly" since they do not have it listed under the description, but I'm going to assume they mean that this polish is 3-free. I actually really like this color, and if you have been a follower of my blog for a long time you would know that I am not a fan of greens. The perfect shade of green for Christmas in my opinion! The only downside to this polish is that it does have an odd smell, and I know a lot of people don't like spending time applying a bunch of coats for full coverage which this polish requires.

The Sweet Color Eco-friendly Candy Nail Polish currently cost $6.14 with free shipping, but Daisy has provided me with a coupon for you guys to make the deal even sweeter! If you use the code "SKL91" during checkout you will receive an additional 10% off your purchase from the Born Pretty Store for all of your nail art needs.

Born Pretty Store - Square Candy Fluorescent Colors Stud Rhinestones Review

Thank goodness it's Friday! Another productive week has come and gone, and to kick off what I hope will be a relaxing weekend for everyone, I will be doing a stud review from the Born Pretty Store.

I recieved the Square Candy Fluorescent Colors Stud Rhinestones which consists of approximately 260 pastel and neon square studs. Each of these studs are 3mm big. I decided that I would use the pastels while testing this product, along with similar base color polishes. The colors I used to achieve this look are:
*Orly - Blue Collar
*China Glaze - Peachy Keen
*China Glaze - Spontaneous
*Sally Hansen - Mint Sorbet

These studs are the bomb.com! I don't know what it is about these, but they give me a cool retro vibe. I love how much attention was given to these studs, everything down to the neon studs being matte like a real neon should. The studs are easy to pick up and place, & does not get ripped off easily.  Great addition to my nail art items.

The Square Candy Fluorescent Colors Stud Rhinestones currently cost $4.59 with free shipping, but Daisy has provided me with a coupon for you guys to make the deal even sweeter! If you use the code "SKL91" during checkout you will receive an additional 10% off your purchase from the Born Pretty Store for all of your nail art needs.
