Softlips CUBE - Vanilla Bean & Berry Bliss Review and Giveaway

Whether you are a beauty enthusiast or not, one thing we all HATE is dry lips! But with the new Softlips CUBE's, dry lips are no longer a problem.

The Softlip CUBE comes in two scents;Vanilla Bean & Berry Bliss, and I have been sent both to put to the test. The Softlip CUBE is said to hydrate and replenish the lips, while protecting from further dryness, smoothing out the lips, and add shine.

So to test all of these factors, I went a day or 2 without using any other lip products, and keeping up my regular diet (which barely includes water). Here are what my lips looked like before using the CUBE's.

My lips were extremely dry! But here is what my lips looked like after my first day of applying the Softlip CUBE's when needed. If definitely added shine and hydrated instantly, but my lips weren't completely healed on the first day.

I continued to use the CUBE's for 3 days, and I could definitely see a difference. The first picture is what my lips looked like with the product on by the third day, while the others is what my lips looked like with absolutely no products on. The dryness on my lips was completely gone with & without the product, and both scents smell AMAZING.

Now for the fun part! I have the honour of giving away an awesome prize pack valued at $50 that includes:
  • 1 Softlips CUBE in Berry Bliss
  • 1 Softlips CUBE in Vanilla Bean
  • 1 Purse Mirror
  • 1 Clutch Purse with Zipper Chain Wristlet

The only rule of this giveaway is that you have to have a Canadian shipping address were the prize can be sent! The giveaway will run from today, August 16th to August 26th. All you have to do to be entered is comment below telling me some of your go-to beauty treatments or products, & I will randomly select a winner. Goodluck!

Peace & Love,

Born Pretty Store - 12pc Blue Water Decals Review

Today I have a beautiful set of water decals from the Born Pretty Store to show you.

This set comes with 12 full nail decals and a tiny nail file to assist with the application. I chose these decals because they reminded me of a double stamping manicure, and I loved the color combination.

So, I followed the basic procedures for applying water decals & a few minutes later, this is what my nails looked like! I know you're supposed to apply topcoat to help it last longer, but I just sealed the ends by lightly brushing over it with acetone. I don't recommend you doing this if you don't have a light hand, or you might accidentally take off a piece... Like I did.

I don't know why, but these decals make me feel so fancy (LOL)! I have a few left, and would love to try these out on longer nails to see how the full design looks in some sort of a mix and match mani.

The 12pc Blue Water Decals currently cost $1.99 with free shipping, but Daisy has provided me with a coupon for you guys to make the deal even sweeter! If you use the code "SKL91" during checkout you will receive an additional 10% off your purchase from the Born Pretty Store for all of your nail art needs.

Born Pretty Store - Natural White Half Nail Tips & Nail Cutter Review

Today I have 2 products that go hand in hand (or nail and nail) from the Born Pretty Store that I would like to show you guys!

Now as you know I'm a natural nail kinda gal, but right before prom I had a horrible break and really wanted some long nails for the big day! So what's the solution? Nail enhancements of course! I RARELY use nail enhancements (I've probably only used them 3 to 4 times in my life), but I thought it would be worth it for prom.

I first started out by finding out which size from 1 to 10 would be a fit for each finger. After I found each size, I glued the tips on using glue I purchased from my local Sally Beauty Supply.

Now, there was no way I was going out looking like LaRhonda (Kudos if you get the Family Guy reference), so I used the nail cutters to make them a length I found appropriate.

After that I used my personal gel kit and added the finishing touches & voila!

I kept my enhancements on for about 2 weeks, and the nails on there own were pretty strong. I like how they are numbered on the very end of the tips in case you mix it up while doing your nails. However, one thing I did not like is how it stood out on against the natural nail, but that may just be my own fault. I personally wish the bottoms were curved to give a more natural look, but that doesn't really concern anyone who polishes over it anyways.

As for the clippers, they cut the nail tips extremely well, but you have to be really careful to make sure that it is lined up straight and not on a weird angle when cutting.

The Natural White Half Nail Tips currently cost $5.29 & the Nail Cutter costs $3.76 with free shipping, but Daisy has provided me with a coupon for you guys to make the deal even sweeter! If you use the code "SKL91" during checkout you will receive an additional 10% off your purchase from the Born Pretty Store for all of your nail art needs.

Today I will be showing you guys the other 6 polishes from Zoya's summer 2014 line, better known as the Bubbly collection. These polishes are glitter packed in a tinted jelly base. These can be worn alone, which I will be showing you at a later date, but today I will be showing you these colors layered over the Tickled collection which you can find swatches of here.

Harper is a "cotton candy pink with a gold shimmer" in a jelly base. My swatches are one coat of Harper layered over 2 coats of Kitridge.

Binx is a "spicy orchid purple with gold shimmer" in a jelly base. My swatches are one coat of Binx layered over 2 coats of Rooney.

Muse is a "blue raspberry color with a subtle vein of gold" in a jelly base. My swatches are one coat of Muse over 2 coats of Ling.

Alma is a "warm golden peach color" in a jelly base. My swatches are one coat of Alma layered over 2 coats of Wendy.

Let me just start off by saying I LOVE the color that I got by layering Alma over a pink shade, and will definitely try layering these polishes over other colors to see what the final product will be. I love the shimmer in each of these polishes; it really makes your nails pop without being too over the top. I can't wait to see what these look like on their own!

The Bubbly collection can be purchased for $54, or $9 each from www.zoya.com. Or if you are in any other country outside of the US, you can purchase Zoya polishes from www.nailpolishcanada.com.
