Darling Diva Polish - Prince Collection Swatches & Review

Hello ladies and gentlemen! Today I have 8 beautiful Prince inspired polishes (and I'm not talking fairy tales or royalty honey!) by Darling Diva Polish to share with you. I was flipping out when I heard about Carrie releasing this collection because... Each polish has purple somehow incorporated in it!!! WOOOOO!
First up is When Doves Cry which consists of white glass flecks and a soft linear holo in a pale grey base. This polish first caught my eye because it's so subtle, yet beautiful. My swatches are 2 coats worn alone.
Next is Purple Rain which is a beautiful purple holographic polish. My swatches are 2 coats worn alone

Here we have 1999 which is a glitter topper that consists of black, silver, and metallic purple circle glitters and black bar glitters in a clear base. My swatches are 1 coat of 1999 worn over 2 coats of Purple Rain.

This here is Get Off which is like the lighter version of Purple Rain, with shimmer and tiny glitters. My swatches are 2 coats worn alone.

Next in line is Darling Nikki which consists of blue, purple, and silver micro glitters, and 2 sizes of black circle glitter in a purple crelly base. My swatches are 3 coats worn alone, but I would recommend layering.

Then we have D.M.S.R (Dance Music Sex Romance) which consists of different sizes and shades of purple glitters in a white crelly base. I've seen everything from flowers, hearts, and even butterflies found in this polish!  My swatches are 2 coats worn alone.

This is Erotic City which consists of purple and blue iridescent glitters, and tiny holographic glitters in a dark purple jelly base. My swatches are 3 coats worn alone, but I would recommend wearing it over a similar color.
Lastly we have Little Red Corvette which consists of different sizes of red holographic glitters in a tinted base. My swatches are 1 coat of Little Red Corvette worn over 2 coats of Cranberry Splash by China Glaze, but it can be worn alone in 2 coats. Carrie highly recommends top coat with this polish, and I highly agree even though I did not use any in my swatches. Top coat will bring out the ultimate shine of this polish that truly makes it POP!
Obviously I'm completely head over heels for the entire collection, for 3 reasons:
1) It's Darling Diva Polish
2) There's purple everywhere (YIPPEEEE!!)
3) And I love the variety of finishes in the collection
In this collection there are everything from jellies, holos, cremes, and even glitterbombs which is a lot of variety for a collection, much less an 8 piece collection. Everything applied with ease and dried fairly quickly. These polishes are all shiny on their own, so I can only imagine that top coat would only make it better.  As for my favorites out of the bunch, they've changed so much based on different things that I chose them all :D!
Darling Diva Polishes costs between $9-$14 and can be purchased from her etsy shop found here. You may also purchase her polishes from Llarowe, Mei Mei's Signatures, Norway Nails, Le Doux Nuage, and Edgy Polish. Don't forget to check out her Facebook fanpage found here also for sneak peeks, updates, and deals!

Born Pretty Store - Black Arabesque Water Decals Review

Two Born Pretty Store reviews in one day?! Yup, that's how I roll! Today I have another set of water decals from the Born Pretty Store to show you.

I chose the Black Arabesque design decals because I thought they were pretty, and a quick way to achieve elegant looking nails. This pattern comes with 20 decals of different sizes and patterns to best suit you. The base color of my manicure is 2 coats of When Doves Cry by Darling Diva Polish from her Prince inspired collection which I will be reviewing VERY soon! I used two of the decals on my ring finger. I did not use a top coat, but you may if you like.

I love these decals! Who needs a nail salon when you have easy to use decals like these?! You can't see any "film" after applying these which I thought might happen at first glance. Nothing negative at all to say about these decals.

The Black Arabesque Water Decals currently cost $1.86 with free shipping, but Daisy has provided me with a coupon for you guys to make the deal even sweeter! If you use the code "SKL91" during checkout you will receive an additional 10% off your purchase from the Born Pretty Store for all of your nail art needs.

Born Pretty Store - Spongebob Squarepants Water Decals Review

Are you ready kids?!? "Aye Aye Captain!". I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!! "AYE AYE CAPTAIN!!!!!"
Ohhhhhhhhhhh...
Who lives in a pineapple under the sea ?!?!?! SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!! Bahahaha I couldn't resist! Today (As you can tell by the title of this post, and my intro little intro ahaha) I have some cute Spongebob Squarepants Water Decals Born Pretty Store to show you.

These water decals come with 20 wacky Spongebob faces (Good enough for 2 manicures if you want a face on each nail, but is plenty if you just use one as an accent). The base color for my manicure is 2 coats of Yellow Whiz by Milani. I then cut out the two designs I wanted to use, then applied them using the basic procedure. I did not use a topcoat, but you can if you want to.

There's really not much to say, there's no going wrong with Spongebob! I like how well these decals blended with the polish so it didn't look like I had a sticker on my nails. One thing that I will say though is that if you are a person with long nails these decals may look a bit awkward because they are small, but if you have a polish similar to the color of the spots, you should be able to add a few more and be good to go!

The Spongebob Squarepants Water Decals currently cost $0.99 (Originally $2.86 I believe, awesome deal!!)  with free shipping, but Daisy has provided me with a coupon for you guys to make the deal even sweeter! If you use the code "SKL91" during checkout you will receive an additional 10% off your purchase from the Born Pretty Store for all of your nail art needs.

Vintage Rock Chic Nail Art - Inspired by Robin Moses

Hello everyone! Today I have some nail art to show you that was inspired by the wonderful Robin Moses. I chose to recreate one of her vintage nail looks, and I think they came out pretty awesome (besides my sloppy stripes & sucky roses hahaha)! I will include a link to her tutorial at the end of this post for anyone that will also like to recreate this look.

I don't own any Julie G polishes like she uses in her video, so I used some similar China Glaze shades instead. The peach color is Peachy Keen, The minty color(s) (I added some white into the original color) is For Audrey, and I forgot the name of the pink I used. The black is acrylic paint, and the studs are from the Born Pretty Store.
Here is the link to the tutorial done by Robin Moses: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iyi7VTdRMgw. If you haven't already checked out her work, you really should because she is AMAZING!
