Halloween Nail Art Challenge: Favorite

It's been fun guys, but the HNAC has officially come to an end. The final theme was to re-create your favorite manicure or create a Halloween manicure of your own. My nails technically weren't apart of the challenge, but they are a re-creation. I re-created my killer manicure which can be seen Here, and the tutorial for it is here.

Killer Manicure Tutorial

Hi guys! I'm here to give you guys a quick and easy to follow tutorial of my killer manicure which can be found here. A bunch of you asked for it, and I wanted to get it posted before Halloween so people could do it if they like!

These are the items you will need:

-Ripped up toilet paper
-Elmer's school glue
-Nail art brush
-Black pigment
-Red nail polish (I used Orly's Grave Mistake)

Step 1: Make sure your nails are completely clean, I wiped mine with rubbing alcohol to remove all oils.

Step 2: Apply a thick coat of the Elmer's school glue to your nails.

Step 3: Before the glue dries, apply 3-4 pieces of the toilet paper, or until the glue is no longer visible.

Step 4: Apply a second coat of glue and repeat step 3.

Step 5: Before the second coat completely dries remove excess tissue from around the cuticles, and tuck the paper that is over the free edge under the nail.

Step 6: Dab nail polish around the nail. Don't worry about it getting on or around the cuticles, it adds on to the effect. Dabbing makes it look like some areas are darker than others.

Step 7: Using a little bit of the black pigment, dab it around the cuticles, the tip of the nails, and under the nails to create the drying blood effect.

Step 8: Apply fake blood or food coloring on your hands (not shown) And Voila! You're done! Hope you enjoy your killer manicure ;)

UP The Movie Nails

Hello beautiful people! Yesterday I took to Facebook and asked some of my fans what kind of manicure I should do next. There were PLENTY of GREAT ideas (some which I thought were too good for me to even attempt), but thanks to Nichole Crooks today's manicure is inspired by the movie UP!

The base color is Tip Top Nail Addict's Love From Above which is the perfect sky blue. The balloons, house, and title were all drawn with acrylic paints. I am absolutely in love with the results! What do you think?

Halloween Nail Art Challenge: Mummy

This in my opinion is my WORST attempt during the HNAC and I'm too lazy to re-attempt these nails. Today's theme is mummies. I don't know exactly who started these nails, but I have seen them (well... what it's supposed to look like) on many blogs and used that as inspiration.

Feelin' Kinda Cheeky... - Ft. CH33

It's been a while since I have used my stamping plates, so I thought I'd give them another try. The base colors of this manicure is one coat of Cult Nails Two Timer over 2 coats of Finger Paints Tough Art to Follow which is a very deep green. The gold I used to stamp with is Milani's Signature Gold & the plate I used is CH33 from their summer collection.

 I love it!

Halloween Nail Art Challenge: Ghosts

Hello to all! We are slowly approaching the end of the Halloween nail art challenge *cries*, but its okay because I had so much fun doing all of the different themes. Today's theme was ghosts.

At first I was going to do a cute lil Casper the friendly ghost, but by time I got home from football I was tired as heck and took the easy way out. I think these ghosts are sooooo cute yet simple. What do you think?

Killer Manicure *Very pic heavy & Graphic*

Good afternoon guys, hope you are having a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Today's post is somewhat a part two of my blood manicure from the Halloween challenge which can be found here, but even more gruesome in my opinion.

I woke up yesterday morning and decided to check out some Halloween manicures on Youtube. I seen many inspiration such as broken nails, stapled nails, and other nail art but I still wanted to give something else. My "killer" manicure was inspired by all of the good old Halloween movies where the murderer is thought to be dead or buried alive, but just when you least expect it "POW!" ; stabbed in the back, literally.

I literally took HUNDREDS of photos of this manicure but these were the "few" that I selected.

When I was taking these pictures it reminded me of my favorite movie series ever which is Child's Play/ Chucky. I was literally about 5 when I started watching these movies, and I used to sit there and laugh my head off every time he cursed or killed somebody... I don't know what that says about my mind but umm... Don't Judge me hahahaha! I <3 Chucky!!!

Do you love this craziness? Would you like to know how I accomplished this? Let me know.

Halloween Nail Art Challenge: Spiders

I was on the bus today on my way home from school, when this girl tapped me on my shoulder and was freaking out. I had no idea why until she told me there was a HUGE spider climbing on me. I slapped that sucker off so quick and ran for my life. I'm deathly afraid of pretty much any insects, but I guess that was its way of reminding me to do today's Halloween nail art challenge theme which is indeed spiders.

I used one coat of China Glaze's Liquid Crystal over one coat of Ozotic 743, and hand drew the spiders with black acrylic paint.

Check out the other awesome manicures!
