So it's Nail Polish Canada's 2nd annual holiday nail art challenge, and I have decided to join yet again! The theme for week one is anything to do with snow... Here's what I came up with.
The colors I used for this manicure are:
China Glaze ~ So Blue Without You
China Glaze ~ Dandy Lyin' Around
Color Club ~ Gift of Sparkle
Nails Inc ~ Electric Lane Holographic Top Coat
If you truly like my manicure, I'd be grateful if you took a minute out of your day to vote for it here. Can't wait to see what next week has in store for us!
Peace & Love,

China Glaze - Dash of Dazzle Set Swatches & Review
Hello everyone! Today on the blog I have swatches of the 3 polishes that make up the Dash of Dazzle gift set (from the Happy HoliGlaze collection). Am I a nerd for laughing at this cute little note that the wonderful people at Nail Polish Canada sent with my polishes ? The three polishes that make up the Dash of Dazzle Set are Mingle With Kringle, Bells Will Be Blinging, and So Blue Without You.
Mingle With Kringle is a beautiful gold foil polish with little bronze bits of glitter. Most metallic polishes don't agree with my skin tone, but this color actually compliments me very well! Swatches are 2 coats of Mingle With Kringle worn alone.
Bells Will Be Blinging consists of light blue micro glitters, silver hexagonal glitters, and silver holographic bar glitters in a clear base. Swatches are 2 coats of Mingle With Kringle followed by 1 coat of Bells Will Be Blinging, and 2 coats of So Blue Without You followed by 1 coat of Bells Will Be Blinging. You can also achieve full coverage in 2-3 coats worn alone if applied properly.
Lastly is So Blue Without You which is a blue foil polish. Although I've heard many others complain about this polish being "too bright" for a holiday collection, I think it is just perfect for the winter months, as well as the summer months. When I first applied this polish the first things that came to my mind we're large bodies of frozen water, as well as the big ocean blue. Swatches are 2 coats worn alone.
I absolutely adored this polish, and wondered what it would look like as a holographic polish... So I applied 1 coat of Darling Diva Polish Dreamy topcoat and here were my results. LOVE!
I'm extremely glad I had the opportunity to try these polishes for myself. Seeing the swatches online does nothing in comparison to seeing what these polishes look like in person in my opinion. These polishes apply beautifully, but make sure not to have too much polish on the brush while painting, as it might flood your cuticles. I definitely have my eyes on a few other polishes from the Happy HoliGlaze that I need to get my hands on, and if they're half as good as these 3 polishes, then I just might scream!
The China Glaze Dash of Dazzle set can be purchased from www.nailpolishcanada.com for $15.00 with free shipping. Don't forget to "Like" China Glaze and Nail Polish Canada on Facebook for updates, deals, and photos!

How Will You Remember?
Happy Remembrance & Veterans Day everyone! I'm expressing my respect for those that have fought & died for us and our freedom in one of the best ways I know how; on my nails.Today at school we held a bake sale to raise money to donate to the Veterans Fund, and I thought it would be cute to do a poppy colored gradient to match the colors of a poppy. The colors I used for this manicure are Liquid Vinyl and Grave Mistake by Orly and With Love by China Glaze (Now that I think about it, the names of the red polishes I used in this manicure are kind of ironic and represent today)! Hope you all had an amazing Monday!

Born Pretty Store - Square Candy Fluorescent Colors Stud Rhinestones Review
Thank goodness it's Friday! Another productive week has come and gone, and to kick off what I hope will be a relaxing weekend for everyone, I will be doing a stud review from the Born Pretty Store.
I recieved the Square Candy Fluorescent Colors Stud Rhinestones which consists of approximately 260 pastel and neon square studs. Each of these studs are 3mm big. I decided that I would use the pastels while testing this product, along with similar base color polishes. The colors I used to achieve this look are:
*Orly - Blue Collar
*China Glaze - Peachy Keen
*China Glaze - Spontaneous
*Sally Hansen - Mint Sorbet
These studs are the bomb.com! I don't know what it is about these, but they give me a cool retro vibe. I love how much attention was given to these studs, everything down to the neon studs being matte like a real neon should. The studs are easy to pick up and place, & does not get ripped off easily. Great addition to my nail art items.
The Square Candy Fluorescent Colors Stud Rhinestones currently cost $4.59 with free shipping, but Daisy has provided me with a coupon for you guys to make the deal even sweeter! If you use the code "SKL91" during checkout you will receive an additional 10% off your purchase from the Born Pretty Store for all of your nail art needs.
Don't forget to stay in touch with the Born Pretty Store for more deals and updates!

Darling Diva Polish - Prince Collection Swatches & Review
Hello ladies and gentlemen! Today I have 8 beautiful Prince inspired polishes (and I'm not talking fairy tales or royalty honey!) by Darling Diva Polish to share with you. I was flipping out when I heard about Carrie releasing this collection because... Each polish has purple somehow incorporated in it!!! WOOOOO!
First up is When Doves Cry which consists of white glass flecks and a soft linear holo in a pale grey base. This polish first caught my eye because it's so subtle, yet beautiful. My swatches are 2 coats worn alone.
Here we have 1999 which is a glitter topper that consists of black, silver, and metallic purple circle glitters and black bar glitters in a clear base. My swatches are 1 coat of 1999 worn over 2 coats of Purple Rain.
This here is Get Off which is like the lighter version of Purple Rain, with shimmer and tiny glitters. My swatches are 2 coats worn alone.
Next in line is Darling Nikki which consists of blue, purple, and silver micro glitters, and 2 sizes of black circle glitter in a purple crelly base. My swatches are 3 coats worn alone, but I would recommend layering.
Then we have D.M.S.R (Dance Music Sex Romance) which consists of different sizes and shades of purple glitters in a white crelly base. I've seen everything from flowers, hearts, and even butterflies found in this polish! My swatches are 2 coats worn alone.
This is Erotic City which consists of purple and blue iridescent glitters, and tiny holographic glitters in a dark purple jelly base. My swatches are 3 coats worn alone, but I would recommend wearing it over a similar color.
Lastly we have Little Red Corvette which consists of different sizes of red holographic glitters in a tinted base. My swatches are 1 coat of Little Red Corvette worn over 2 coats of Cranberry Splash by China Glaze, but it can be worn alone in 2 coats. Carrie highly recommends top coat with this polish, and I highly agree even though I did not use any in my swatches. Top coat will bring out the ultimate shine of this polish that truly makes it POP!
1) It's Darling Diva Polish
2) There's purple everywhere (YIPPEEEE!!)
3) And I love the variety of finishes in the collection
In this collection there are everything from jellies, holos, cremes, and even glitterbombs which is a lot of variety for a collection, much less an 8 piece collection. Everything applied with ease and dried fairly quickly. These polishes are all shiny on their own, so I can only imagine that top coat would only make it better. As for my favorites out of the bunch, they've changed so much based on different things that I chose them all :D!
Darling Diva Polishes costs between $9-$14 and can be purchased from her etsy shop found here. You may also purchase her polishes from Llarowe, Mei Mei's Signatures, Norway Nails, Le Doux Nuage, and Edgy Polish. Don't forget to check out her Facebook fanpage found here also for sneak peeks, updates, and deals!
