My First Butter London! : Knackered Swatches & Review

I've been waiting for this day for so long, the day when... I got my first Butter London *dramatic music* ! I acquired this bad boy from Totally Lacquer Obsessed when I won one of many of the giveaways that she is always having via her blog and Facebook (check them both out, she's great!). Now, on to the polish. Let me start off by saying that pictures do NOT do justice to this polish and its beauty. The color I received is Knackered which is a very sheer duo-chrome that flashes from a metallic purple to a seafoam green & also contains tiny holographic glitter. The application on this polish is great, no streaks, no bubbles, no bumps. Another thing I like about the polish is the brush, nice and wide for easy application.

This is 3 coats of Knackered on its own taken in the sunlight. As you can see, my free edge is 100% visible, which I was shocked by because out of the sun the polish is very opaque. I'd recommend 4-5 coats if you plan to wear it alone on long nails.

Check out this duo-chrome action! Love it <3

This is 1 coat of Knackered over 1 coat of Klean Color's black. This really helped enhance the colors and I thought this was the ultimate combo until...

THIS!!
I randomly decided to swatch it over a random color just for the sake of it and it was one of the prettiest things I have ever seen! This is 1 coat of Knackered over 1 coat of Klean Color's Teal Envy. It added a nice metallic finish to the whole nail and made the holo glitter go crazy!

Overall, after my experience with Knackered I will most certainly be getting myself some Butter Londons. What other must haves are there? Let me know below and have a wonderful day :) !

Tip Top Nail Addict Swatches and Review

Hello lovely lacquer lovers! Today's post consists of 4 polishes from a brand called Nail Addict by Tip Top. I acquired these polishes from a "name that polish" contest on Tip Top Nails South Africa's Facebook page. I don't believe these polishes are available for sale in North America (correct me if I am wrong), but I would love to get my hands on some more of these if I can!

This first polish is called "Barely There". It is a beautiful nude color which I doubted at first glance, but when I put this on my nails my opinion totally changed. This color can be described as a cross between a very pale pink and beige that is packed with glitter and flakies. I think this would look gorgeous on any skin tone. This is 2 thin coats and it has good pigmentation.

Next up is "Smitten". This is a very gorgeous hot pink (Although it looks like its a pink-red) with a slight shimmer. In my bottle I seen little gold glitter but it is not visible upon application. This is 2 thin coats and it is very opaque.
Third polish is called "Devoted" and I was least excited about this color. Don't get me wrong, this color is nice, I just have issues with red polishes hahaha. Devoted is a metallic red with visible pink and silver glitter within it. This polish is also 2 coats.
Lastly but certainly not least, my FAVORITE of the bunch "Love From Above". This is a baby blue polish with a slight silver shimmer that is not very visible. I have been searching for the perfect baby blue for a long time, and this is it. This is 2 coats.
I loved this color so much I wore it as a mani for a whole week which is long for me (LOL). I added an accent with OPI's "Gone Gonzo" and later matted it out with NYC's "Matte Me Crazy" top coat .
Overall these polishes are amazing. The pigmentation is great, the brush is nice and wide, and I love the teeny tiny bottles ^_^ ! I hope to get my hand on more of these because I love how nicely they apply and they do not have a harsh smell. Until next time, have a great day ! :)

My first Franken: Frank-Lynn

Hello guys! Today's post as you probably figured out by the title is about my first franken. Some of you may have already seen the swatches on my facebook page but this post will show you how it looks in a full blown mani! I decided to name it Frank-Lynn because it is a clash with franken and the creator of Lynnderella because her work is one of the first I've seen in the world of Indies.

Frank-Lynn is a light blue jelly-like polish that is PACKED with glitter. It wore very well with no base coat or top coat (shame on me, I  know) and had a good amount of colour after 2 coats.

Here's a close up of what the polish looks like. I really enjoyed making this franken and after this one I started considering if I should do custom made polishes for people since it got such a positive response. What do you guys think? Tell me how you feel about it and have a wonderful day :)

OPI: Just Spotted the Lizard

"Spiderman, Spiderman, does whatever a spider can!" Hahaha ! Today I have swatches for you guys of Just Spotted the Lizard from OPI's new Spiderman collection.
This colour is said to be a dupe of Chanel's Peridot (which sadly I do not own), but from what I've seen they are the exact same. This is a duo-chrome that flashes between yellow and green, and might I say this is truly GORGEOUS.

Here's what it looks like indoors:

Now where the magic happens, to the sunlight!:

I tried to capture the colour from all angles so you guys could see the difference. As you can see it goes from yellow, to yellow-green, to a metallic looking green.

I think this is one of my favorite OPI's as of now and it is versatile for any skin tone and time of the year. If you missed out on Peridot, I recommend getting this as it is not as costly and you get the same beautiful colour. Thanks for reading!

China Glaze Glitter Crackle

This is my first blog post people!!! Today I'm here to show you these beauties known as the China Glaze crackle glitters. I won these from a giveaway on their Facebook page and wanted to share them
with you. :)

(From left to right): A light green glitter with a hint of yellow, light purple glitter, fuchsia/purple glitter, ocean blue glitter.
The names of these polishes from left to right are:
L-R: Jade-d, Luminous Lavender, Glam-More, Gleam Me Up

I was hoping that these colours looked as good on the nails as they did in the bottles so I put them to the test. I swatched these four crackle glitters over black, white, and 4 random colours I chose, here's what they looked like in the same order listed.
In my opinion, Glam-More and Gleam Me Up crackled the best. The colours looked just as bright and beautiful on the nail as they did in the bottles and cracked to my liking. My least favourite of the bunch is Luminous Lavender. It didn't crack very well and the colour is very faint over light colours.

Hope you enjoyed my very first review/ blogpost and I hope to be doing many many more! Like me on facebook.com/TeenPolishJunkie and follow this blog TeenPolishJunkie.blogspot.com . Thank you and have an amazing day :D
