Hello everyone! Today I just wanted to quickly show you my current "out of this world" manicure. I achieved this look by using the following products:
* Sweet Colors Eco-friendly Nail Polish - S156
*Color Club - Miss Bliss
*Color Club - Angel Kiss
*Color Club - Kismet
*Color Club - Harp On It
*Cheeky Summer Set - Plate #47

I know it's kind of hard to tell the different holographic polishes apart in this manicure through photographs, but it really is noticeable in "real life". Hope you guys enjoyed this quick little post! I often do manicures that never make it onto the blog, but if you guys like these short little NOTD posts I'll be glad to share them. Born Pretty Store - Sweet Color Eco-friendly Candy Nail Polish Swatches & Review

Today on the blog I have a quick little review for a polish from the Born Pretty Store!

I selected the Sweet Color eco-friendly candy nail polish in the color S156 which is a beautiful forest green cream polish. This polish is almost like a jelly when applying, so my swatches are 3 coats to achieve full coverage.

I don't know what about this polish is exactly "eco-friendly" since they do not have it listed under the description, but I'm going to assume they mean that this polish is 3-free. I actually really like this color, and if you have been a follower of my blog for a long time you would know that I am not a fan of greens. The perfect shade of green for Christmas in my opinion! The only downside to this polish is that it does have an odd smell, and I know a lot of people don't like spending time applying a bunch of coats for full coverage which this polish requires.

The Sweet Color Eco-friendly Candy Nail Polish currently cost $6.14 with free shipping, but Daisy has provided me with a coupon for you guys to make the deal even sweeter! If you use the code "SKL91" during checkout you will receive an additional 10% off your purchase from the Born Pretty Store for all of your nail art needs.

Born Pretty Store - Square Candy Fluorescent Colors Stud Rhinestones Review

Thank goodness it's Friday! Another productive week has come and gone, and to kick off what I hope will be a relaxing weekend for everyone, I will be doing a stud review from the Born Pretty Store.

I recieved the Square Candy Fluorescent Colors Stud Rhinestones which consists of approximately 260 pastel and neon square studs. Each of these studs are 3mm big. I decided that I would use the pastels while testing this product, along with similar base color polishes. The colors I used to achieve this look are:
*Orly - Blue Collar
*China Glaze - Peachy Keen
*China Glaze - Spontaneous
*Sally Hansen - Mint Sorbet

These studs are the bomb.com! I don't know what it is about these, but they give me a cool retro vibe. I love how much attention was given to these studs, everything down to the neon studs being matte like a real neon should. The studs are easy to pick up and place, & does not get ripped off easily.  Great addition to my nail art items.

The Square Candy Fluorescent Colors Stud Rhinestones currently cost $4.59 with free shipping, but Daisy has provided me with a coupon for you guys to make the deal even sweeter! If you use the code "SKL91" during checkout you will receive an additional 10% off your purchase from the Born Pretty Store for all of your nail art needs.

Born Pretty Store - Sweet Colors #4 Dazzling Starry Magical Multicolored Shell Glitter Nail Polish Swatches & Review

Hello fellow nail polish enthusiasts! Today I have a totally gorgeous flakie polish that I will be reviewing from the Born Pretty Store on le blog, so if flakies are your thing you ought to stick around!

The polish I recieved is The Sweet Colors #4 Dazzling Starry Magical Multicolored Shell Glitter Nail Polish. It is a rainbow flakie polish in a slightly tinted base. The flakies can turn from red, to orange, to green, to gold, to blue, and even to purple; it's truly beautiful! I swatched this polish over 2 colors of my choice; black to show the color changes at its best, as well as a purple colored polish. My first set of swatches is one coat of #4 layered over one coat of Nevermore by Cult Nails.

I also swatched this polish over Blurple by LAQA & Co.

Overall this product is worth the buy in my opinion. It comes in a 12mL bottle and the price range is just right for the amount of polish you're getting. The polish is very easy to apply and is packed with flakie goodness so that one coat is more than enough. The only possible negative that I would have on this product is that it does have a slight scent to it that I find unpleasant, but if that would not bother you I'd go for it!

The Sweet Colors Dazzling Starry Magical Multicolored Shell Glitter Nail Polish currently cost $8.99 with free shipping, but Daisy has provided me with a coupon for you guys to make the deal even sweeter! If you use the code "SKL91" during checkout you will receive an additional 10% off your purchase from the Born Pretty Store for all of your nail art needs.

KKCenterhk - Square Laser Purple Studs Review

Howdy everybody! Hope you enjoyed the long weekend if you had one (went by way too fast in my opinion!) but now it's time to get back to business! Today on the blog is another mini review for KKCenterhk.

The product I selected was the square laser purple studs. It is a lavender colored holographic 3mm square rhinestone. The color nail polish I tested these studs over is called Blurple by LAQA & CO. It is 2 coats worn alone, no top coat over the rhinestones.

I think these rhinestones are very pretty & are great to have, BUT there is one thing I dislike. The baggie with the rhinestones came with exactly 50 rhinestones (which they actually do state in the description of the site, but I discovered too late) and costs almost $5.00. I find that absolutely ridiculous knowing that I can get a wheel of over 1000 rhinestones for less than $2, but hey if you can afford the price tag I'd go for it!

These square laser purple studs cost $4.73 plus shipping, but Maggie has provided me with a coupon for you guys to make the deal even sweeter! If you use the code "teenpolishjunkie" during checkout you will receive an additional 10% off your entire purchase

September Wantable Subscription Box Review

Hello everyone ! Today I have a different type of review up on the blog; a beauty subscription box! I was approached by a company called Wantable which is a new beauty and jewelry subscription box. You receive 5-7 full sized beauty products, valued at $80 or more, for a monthly subscription at $36/month( or you can purchase a single box for $40). And you never have to worry about getting a product you absolutely hate; because every product you receive is selected based on your likes & dislikes you tell them in the process of setting up your account.

In my September Wantable subscription box, I received:
- Two Eye Products
- Two Lip Products
- Two Nail Products
- One Body Product

Let's start with the nail products. I received 2 nail polishes from a new-to-me brand called LAQA & CO. The two colors I received  are called Nookie (bwahaha) which is on the left and Blurple which is on the right. Each polish by this brand comes in a unique packaging which I think is amazing, the amount of detail put into just this got me excited for the polish quality. I was absolutely AMAZED when I swatched these polishes. My swatches of both polishes are only one coat worn alone. Each of these polishes have extremely great coverage and a fast dry time, I hope I can track down more of this brand because the quality is phenomenal.

Now let's move into some unknown territory with this blog; makeup. The two eye products I received are both eye shadows, but from two different brands. The first eye shadow (on the left) is Chocolat by Lise Watier (Retail price in Canada: $18) and it is a beautiful dark chocolate matte brown color. The second eye shadow (on the right) is Birthday Suit by Be a Bombshell Cosmetics (Retail: $14) and it is a nude buff color with a matte finish recommended for highlighting, or for use as the base color. Both eye shadows are extremely pigmented and easy to work with. Below is a look I *attempted* (I rarely wear makeup & I'm trying to teach myself how this stuff works bwahaha) using these two eye shadows along with another shade of brown from a Milani palette.

The lip products I received were a lip veneer and a lipstick. The lip veneer is by a brand called Whip Hand Cosmetics (Retail: $20), and it applies like a lip gloss but has the intense color of a lipstick. The color I received is Frenzy which is a beautiful deep red color. I did mess up my applicator with this product when I accidentally tried to remove it not knowing that's how I needed to apply it, but it still works *EPIC FAIL*. And the lipstick that I received is by a brand called MiA BelleZZa  (Retail: $18.50) in the shade Mulberry which is a beautiful bright red matte lipstick. Both products have long lasting color , however you may have to reapply at least once during the day. Both were also surprisingly moisturizing and did not feel sticky, YAY!

I also took some shots without the colored lip products so you can see how versatile these eyeshadows really are; great for all day, everyday use!.

The last product included in my box is this Body Oil by the brand Echo Vie. I am still testing this one out, but so far it has been softening my skin and it smells wonderful!

Overall I think the idea of this beauty box is a great idea. I know the cost of some of these products if you were to buy them in stores, and it really is a better deal to get the box instead. I also think it is a great way to introduce yourself to new brands & see what they have to offer.
